The Miss Orca contest this year will go through each group without server maintenance in between, and as such there are some important notes for you.

If you are logged into the game while the Miss Orca Contest information is being updated, the ballot Missions and voting function may not be displayed properly.

You must exit the game completely and log in to the game again to see the updated content properly, so if you cannot access the Miss Orca Contest after 9AM KST, please close the game and log in again.

Lastly, the ballots will expire with the closing of each group's voting period. We ask you to use all your ballots before each group's voting is closed, and to remember that expired ballots cannot be recovered.

There will be no livestream for the group draw this year to save on time, and you can check the results in the video linked below.

Here is a short rundown of the changes to the Miss Orca contest this year.

■ 5th Miss Orca Voting Periods Group A: 21 August 2024 09:00 to 24 August 2024 08:59 Group B: 24 August 2024 09:00 to 27 August 2024 08:59 Group C: 27 August 2024 09:00 to 30 August 2024 08:59 Group D: 30 August 2024 09:00 to 2 September 2024 08:59 Final Round: After the September 2nd maintenance to 10 September 2024 08:59

First, we have shortened the voting periods to two weeks for all four groups, with each group getting 3 days, and the top 5 contestants of each group will advance to the final round.

The preliminary ballots will be changed to only display the current ranks of the top 3 contestants.

The final round will not display the current ranks or total votes of any contestant, and will be revealed after the voting is over. There will also be an announcement at 11 AM each day showing the tallies of each contestant up to 9 AM.

A separate announcement will be posted with a more detailed explanation of how the contest will proceed.

Notice Regarding Censored Artworks and Future Measures

"Hello, this is GM Aisha.

First of all, we apologize for not being able to disclose the list of the censored illustrations beforehand.

Illustrations in the ONEstore client that featured lower body exposure have been altered, and as the rating process goes over the entirety of the game's content we had no choice but to censor a total of 170 illustrations.

An age rating is mandatory for service within Korea, so we ask for your understanding that the censorship was necessary.

We have received many voices of concern from the Commanders since the censorship update. We at the Last Origin development team were also concerned with this development as we understood that this was something most Commanders would not want. We assure you that we will be working to the best of our ability to create satisfactory art for the game.

Future illustrations will feature increased nudity in the upper body, and we will also strive to create skins befitting the name of Last Origin as much as possible within the boundaries allowed for nudity in general.

Finally, we will be posting a preview of the damaged artwork for the new combatant Dione to better demonstrate how the increase in upper body exposure will look like.

The heatwaves are getting stronger already. It is now the beginning of summer with the temperature fluctuating wildly. To remind you to take care of your health and get away for a bit from the searing heat (which burns as hotly as my passion), we are preparing a small gift with the coldest unit in the game.

This July, we'll be beginning anew, so please look forward to it.

    2. [<Zero Base> Event] "Zero Base" is a two-part event, and you'll be able to play through the introduction in Part 1 on July 9th, and the climax of Part 2 on July 23rd. However, behind the shining future brought by the birth of the bioroid industry are nothing but dark sacrifices ... "Hello (bow), this is Kim Suyeon.

I greet all the Commanders for the Last Origin Developer Team in Valofe.

We are all grateful beyond words for your patience despite being worried due to the long silence regarding the tranfer process. We apologize once again for the delays in the update schedule, and will give our best effort to create the best Last Origin that can meet your expectations.

  1. The transfer has gone smoothly and is now in its final stages. As some of you may know from the Japanese server's announcement, we are currently expecting to be able to resume updates around the later half of June.
  2. The official comics will be uploaded as usual starting from the second week of June. Due to other priorities and related issues that required inspection, the contracts were renewed behind schedule. Despite all this, the artists reached out to us first and asked us to "take good care of Last Origin," showing their extraordinary love for the game, and we felt like we were being overwhelemed by their camaraderie(?). I too am honored to work with them. We hope for your continued support and interest in our three comic artists as well.
  3. The new skin for Erato that was previously announced will be released first and receive voicelines in a later update, and we ask for your understanding.
  4. The last winner from the previous character idea contest, Melt is currently in development. One of her key aspects was ASMR ...! Due to limitations in the file upload sizes and equipment it will be difficult to recreate that tingle like professional ASMR tracks within the game itself, but we will be (furiously) working hard to implement her creator's precious idea.
  5. We are currently in discussions about what direction to bring back the Tower of Iron Parasite mode, and how to implement it in the game. Once we have decided on the mode's direction, we will notify you in a future announcement.
  6. A new Event in celebration of the transfer is in development. Our new scenario writer has completed going through the notes from the previous writer and is currently writing the story. As a small teaser, I've been told it will be a rather dark and serious story.
  7. Regarding the removal of Permanent Events, there are no changes from what has been previously announced. We are planning improvements to the Event story replays and will work on the task afterwards.
  8. No work has been done for Chapter 13 of the Main Story. Therefore it was impossible to finish it in time for a June release as was announced in the roadmap. We are working on Chapter 13, which was on hold with only a rough draft for the story, for a release in the later half of the year.
  9. Work is ongoing for the 5th Miss Orca Contest.

We are ashamed to only have such a vague schedule to share with you. We ask for your understanding that it was our intent to inform you that we are working hard on new updates first. It is painfully obvious that there is much room for improvement in our abilities, but our desire to give you the best service is sincere. We at Valofe promise that we will listen to both your words of support and criticism to improve, so that the warm comfort of Last Origin's story can continue on, open to everyone.

Hello. This is Studio Valkyrie.

We express our sincerest gratitude to all the Commanders who cherish Last Origin. We inform you that on April 25th, 2024 Studio Valkyrie signed a contract to transfer the service of the Last Origin game and rights to the IP to Valofe.

We at Studio Valkyrie have been doing everything in our ability to ensure the stable service and expansion of Last Origin, even with the difficulties that arose recently. However, we determined that we required a partnership to breathe new life into the game if we were to ensure its continued growth and expansion.

As such we began reviewing various groups for a potential partnership, and Valofe showed a special love for Last Origin and a strong commitment for the sustainable development and service of the game, beyond the desire for a simple partnership.

Most importantly, Valofe presented a plan for not just the current state of the game but also its future, as well as the will to follow through with their vision. We at Studio Valkyrie decided that instead of a partnership, transferring the entirety of the game and its rights to Valofe would be the best choice for the developers and all the Commanders of Last Origin, and made the agreement.

Valofe has the experience and know-how to successfully launch games of various genres in foreign markets, and therefore we believe that they will be able to bring the game to a wider audience worldwide. We also trust that they will invest in the Last Origin brand until it gains global recognition.

While Last Origin may regrettably be leaving the hands of Studio Valkyrie, it will shine ever more brightly in its new home with you. We wish the best for the future of Last Origin, and ask for your warm and continued support.

Important Announcement, April 5th

  • Development team is currently undergoing a restructuring process internally alongside making changes to the game's direction in an effort to create new content and bring new updates and improvements to the game, due to the resignation of multiple key positions. Development team is reviewing the update plans and their own internal direction in order to provide a more varied experience to the players as the game enters its 5th year of service, and during this they unfortunately needed to postpone updates to the game for a month.
  • Next update plans will be announced on April 24th, and the said update will be implemented on April 30th. New direction and the improvements for the game will also be explained with it.

Editor Notes: No, Last Origin is not ending its service (EoS) anytime soon, for 2 reasons:

  1. If they intend to end service for Last Origin, they would have done it now, instead of going through "restructuring process",
  2. LINE Games, the parent company of Studeo Valkyrie (current Last Origin development company), has stated in an interview: "... Currently, EoS is not an option for Last Origin..."

So, don't be a pessimistic bunch, Last Origin has been through this kind of incidents multiple times throughout its lifespan, and it has been the survivor of all these, it will not die anytime soon. And don't believe a word from an individual named "ICUH", he is a moron who wants Last Origin dies like his streaming career; If you believe his words, then you are a moron too.
