Outline

Cathy Perrault, a cute guard maid named after the spirit of a cat, brings joy to anyone who sees her. With platinum-like shining hair, milky white skin, and a cute but aloof face, she is a sight to behold. However, when you see her sharp claw gloves, you'll realize the bravery hidden beneath her cute appearance. Anyone who dares to harm her master will find themselves torn apart by her hidden blades.

Cathy Perrault is a guard maid bioroid created by Saman Industries under their Companion brand. While the brand's flagship product was Black Lilith, its exorbitant price and unsuitable nature as a consumer product necessitated a follow-up. Saman Industries decided to incorporate research on animal genes into this Companion, and the first product to result from this was CS Perrault.

Cats were not typically considered ideal sources for guard animal genes. While their excellent reflexes and flexibility were commendable, their aloof personality was seen as inferior to that of dogs, another popular companion animal. However, cats' superior mobility in indoor environments led to the initiation of the "Cathy Project" for gene synthesis.

The results were surprising. Perrault, created through the Cathy Project, possessed excellent reflexes, strength, and agility. Although she had a proud personality, she tended to view her master more as a companion than a superior, showing unexpected devotion. Her quiet nature and strong instinct to defend her territory were highly praised by buyers, allowing CS Perrault to become an official product and be shipped out.

Origin Story

Saman Industries' Companion brand featured various products, with CS Perrault gaining popularity in relatively safe regions of East Asia. CS Perrault was one of the rare products in the Companion brand that could exhibit 100% combat effectiveness without using firearms, making her as valuable as Black Lilith in regions where firearms were prohibited.

As social security declined following the Allied War, Perrault underwent upgrades. She moved with bullet-like speed, and her incredible agility allowed her to confront both armed and armored enemies with ease. While not suitable for mass destruction, she could overwhelm delicate attackers in localized and confined defensive situations.

During the Extinction War, CS Perrault was completely annihilated. Like most guard bioroids, she preferred dying over witnessing her master's death and defended against the Iron Bugs' attacks with her body, leaving her with no other choice.

However, Labiata, who remembered her, classified her as a valuable resource for guarding the Commander in confined spaces. Upon recovering her genetic seed, Perrault was revived and ready to seek vengeance for humanity.

Values

Perrault cherishes the territory and family she must protect. Her protective instinct is exceptionally strong. Although her intelligence is intact, she tends to be indifferent to her surroundings, possibly due to her remaining cat-like traits or influence. However, she is highly sensitive to anything happening within her territory.

She prefers quiet environments but enjoys spending time with those she recognizes as her companion (usually those she protects). Her favorite activity is lying down with her companion in a comfortable spot, feeling content all day long.

Relationships

She values her companion more than her own life. Perrault tends to stay within her territory, which she considers her companion's territory, and is reluctant to leave. However, she is quite indifferent to other relationships. While she tries to protect her sisters outside her territory, it's not out of genuine concern. She dislikes noise and tends to distance herself from talkative and loud sisters.

Behavior / Language

People who see Perrault for the first time might think she is proud and aloof. However, despite her seemingly aloof exterior, she is deeply affectionate and treasures her companion. She simply considers overt displays of affection to be crude, which is why she may appear aloof.

She generally enjoys staying still, particularly in high places, where her favorite activity is sitting quietly.

Abilities

Monomolecular Claw: Her special claw gloves, with their finely honed tips, are Perrault's most powerful weapon. Although short, these agile claws can tear through even the toughest Iron Bug armor, shredding any enemy that comes within range.

Guard Designation: Perrault specializes in guarding a single master. While she currently protects her sisters, her dedication remains as strong as when she protected her master. It is difficult to penetrate Perrault's shield, which is focused entirely on guarding her target.

Flexibility: Perrault's flexibility is unparalleled. She can perform movements and postures that are impossible for human-based bioroids. When attacked, she can use her flexibility to minimize damage.

Wound Targeting: Perrault has an inherently wild nature, which sometimes leads her to act without concern for human sensibilities. Her tendency to relentlessly target weak or injured spots is especially merciless towards weakened enemies.
