Hello

DISCLAIMER: THIS POST IS FULL OF UNCHECKED FACTS, VERY BIASED PERSONAL OPINIONS AND MMH'S REAL BULLSHIT HOURS. DO NOT READ BEYOND THIS POINT UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY OK WITH THIS.

What is Tower of Iron Parasite

  1. An elaborated way of making the player stick to the game more
  2. An elaborated way to introduce power creeping equipment
  3. An elaborated way to farm resources

MMH'S REAL BULLSHIT WAY TO PLAY TIP

  1. Go up to 10-1, explorer the floor without the boss floor and retreat. A handful of missions should be completed at this point and this run shouldn't cause you any resources, but be a gain instead.

Things to do/priorities in TIP

  1. If available, use the PECS suit and EOD robot to prevent debuff/damages to your team as healing in TIP is limited and will require 1 fast recovery team with essences.
    1. General rule of thumb is to at least have PECS suit on after floor 4-X as the toxic event will chip away everyone's health. It also prevents the Chaos Theory from throwing debuffs at you.
  2. Follow the green arrow around your character to locate the Boss tile for current floor. Clear the Boss tile should be your top priority as it will open up the option to advance to the next floor.
  3. Explore the current floor after defeating the Boss.
    1. For early on stages, do NOT skip mob fights as they are basically free essence. And the mob fights have a chance to drop rogue OS.
    2. For late stages, explore as much as possible since the map is bigger and will have chances to trigger more events.
  4. In case of Pursuer:
    1. Run. Either go straight to the next floor or kite it until it's dangerously close to your position.
      1. Reason: Pursuer is hard to fight as he has a very high speed. He will target your Attaker/Supporter, attacks twice per round and the ATK is high enough to kill on hit. And his drops are the same as a regular mob drop/boss tile drop (needs confirmation). It is not worth to fight him. Run.

Tile events and what to do

  1. Mission tiles:
    1. Always take the missions as they are free resource and free materials. Check this page if you need translations.
  2. Shop tiles:
    1. Remember you can only buy one item of three displayed.
      1. Materials will always have a higher priority than the consumables.
      2. Consumable priorities: PECS suit > EOD robot > others. Buy as needed. At least have 1 smoke bomb with you in case you misjudged and encouter pursuer. Smoke bomb can help you in that situation.
      3. Click the shop items more than once to make sure the selection is on the thing you want. Apparently the shop UI is kinda buggy.
  3. Air purifier:
    1. Basically free essence. On the floor with an air purifier there must be a tile that has the key card.
  4. Observatory:
    1. Totally depends on how much essence you currently have and how much of the map you have explored.
  5. Buff buying tile:
    1. This tile is currently absolutely bugged. Don't touch it if you don't know what you are doing... for now.
  6. Emergency Recovery Station
    1. Use as needed or enter and cancel to gain some essence.

Character skills

  1. Field supply: Use all stacks upon getting it.
  2. Guerilla Resupply: Use on later floors to identify the box.
  3. Impermeable Barrier and Hazardous Item Disposal Team: Use as needed. Function is the same as PECS suit and EOD robot. DO NOT USE ITEMS/SKILLS ON THE SAME FLOOR AS ADVANCING THE FLOOR WILL REMOVE ALL STACKS.
  4. Other skills should be used as needed.

Unit selections

  1. Not too much to think about. Bring 5:1:1 of Attackers/Defenders/Supports. AOE attackers should be prioritized since everything below floor 10 shouldn't be a problem if leveled properly with some stats distributed.
